AM Heist ("AM Heist," "the app") is published by Yellow8 Studios LLC, a Texas limited liability company. By downloading, installing, or using the app you agree to these Terms of Service and to the AM Heist Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use AM Heist. The app is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
AM Heist is a heist-themed alarm clock. You set one or more alarms; when an alarm fires, the app plays a tone and presents a "wake mission" — a small task you complete to dismiss the alarm. Missions include arithmetic, typing, word scramble, word search, shaking the phone, walking a number of steps ("Make the Getaway"), doing push-ups ("Through the Vent"), and photographing a real-world object ("Case the Joint"). The app also offers optional wind-down sleep sounds, a morning checklist, a wake-up history, a streak counter, and a collection of vault "pieces" earned by waking up consistently.
AM Heist runs entirely on your device. It has no user accounts, no servers, and does not transmit your data anywhere. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
AM HEIST IS A CONSUMER CONVENIENCE APP. DO NOT RELY ON IT AS YOUR ONLY MEANS OF WAKING UP FOR ANYTHING WHERE FAILURE WOULD CAUSE HARM OR LOSS — including medication schedules, medical appointments, work or transportation obligations, flights or other travel connections, childcare, or any life-safety purpose.
An alarm scheduled by an app can fail to ring for reasons outside our control, including:
Use a second, independent alarm for anything that matters.
Three missions involve physical activity or your camera: Through the Vent (push-ups, counted by on-device pose detection), Make the Getaway (steps, counted by your phone's step counter), and Case the Joint (a photo of a real-world object, checked by on-device image recognition).
YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE PHYSICAL MISSIONS AT YOUR OWN RISK. AM Heist is not a fitness, medical, or health product, and nothing in it is medical, fitness, or health advice. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise if you have a medical condition or are unsure whether exercise is appropriate for you. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, lightheadedness, or shortness of breath.
Be aware of your surroundings before you move. Do not perform a mission while driving or operating machinery; on stairs; near traffic, water, or a ledge; in the dark or in low light where you cannot see what is around you; or anywhere else it would be unsafe to be distracted or physically exerted while half-awake.
Sensor readings and camera recognition are estimates, not measurements. Step and push-up counts from consumer phone sensors are approximate and must not be used for any health or diagnostic purpose. Case the Joint's on-device recognition may misjudge whether an object matches what was asked for. You control what you point the camera at and where you use the app.
AM Heist's sleep sounds are ambient audio, not a medical device, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, monitor, or otherwise address insomnia or any other sleep disorder or medical condition. If you have ongoing sleep difficulty, consult a physician.
The optional morning message shown after a wake-up mission is either a Word of Affirmation — original short encouragement written for the app — or a Bible verse, drawn from the King James Version, which is in the public domain in the United States. Neither is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice of any kind, and neither should be relied on as such.
Alarm names, morning-checklist items, and your wake-up history are stored only on your device. You own them.
Because there is no account and no server, we cannot recover your data for you. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, resetting the device, or losing the device permanently deletes everything AM Heist has saved. AM Heist does not currently provide an export or backup feature.
Subject to these Terms, Yellow8 Studios LLC grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of AM Heist on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. We keep all other rights. The app, its name, artwork, sounds, text, and design are owned by Yellow8 Studios LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.
You agree not to: copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble it except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable under applicable law; remove proprietary notices; or use it in violation of any law.
11.1 What the plans are. AM Heist offers two auto-renewing subscription plans — Monthly and Annual. There is no lifetime or one-time purchase. Both plans are sold, billed, and canceled through Google Play. Google is the merchant of record; we are not. Prices are shown in your local currency by Google Play before you confirm, and the price Google shows you is the price that governs. As of this version: Monthly is $2.99/month; Annual is $19.99/year.
11.2 What Plus includes. AM Heist Plus unlocks the app's paid features as shown on the Plus screen at the time of purchase. AM Heist without Plus remains a working alarm clock with its free features.
11.3 Subscriptions renew automatically. Monthly and Annual subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You will be charged through your Google account at the start of each billing period.
11.4 How to cancel. You may cancel at any time in the Google Play Store: Play Store → your profile icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → AM Heist → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep Plus until then. Uninstalling AM Heist does not cancel a subscription.
11.5 The 7-day free trial on the Annual plan. Where Google Play offers you a free trial, the trial length, the price that follows it, and the date of the first charge are shown by Google before you confirm. For the Annual plan the trial is 7 days.
11.6 Restoring a purchase. AM Heist asks Google Play what your Google account owns each time it starts, and the paywall has a Restore purchases button. Reinstalling the app, or installing it on a new phone signed in to the same Google account, restores Plus.
11.7 If a subscription lapses. AM Heist returns to its free features. Nothing you have entered in the app (alarm names, checklist items, wake-up history) is deleted when Plus lapses — that data is yours, not the subscription's; see Section 8.
11.8 Changes to plans and prices. We may change prices, and we may change what a plan includes, for future purchases. Price changes to an existing subscription are subject to Google Play's rules, which require notice to you and, in most cases, your consent before a higher price is charged.
11.9 Refunds. Refunds are handled by Google under Google Play's refund policy. We cannot issue a refund for a Google Play purchase ourselves. If you have a problem we may be able to fix, please write to us first at support@yellow8studios.com.
11.10 Transfer. If AM Heist, or the business that operates it, is sold or transferred, the obligations in this Section 11 transfer with it and bind the acquirer.
Do not use AM Heist to violate any law, to interfere with the operation of anyone's device, or in any way that could reasonably harm you or another person. AM Heist's theme is fictional entertainment; nothing in it encourages, endorses, or depicts real criminal conduct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Yellow8 Studios LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: your violation of these Terms; your misuse of AM Heist, including any attempt to bypass or tamper with the paywall or entitlement checks; your violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or content or data you enter into the app. This section does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of law, to the extent applicable law does not permit that to be disclaimed.
AM HEIST IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YELLOW8 STUDIOS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY ALARM WILL RING AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME OR AT ALL.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices–Consumer Protection Act.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YELLOW8 STUDIOS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE AM HEIST — INCLUDING ANY MISSED ALARM, MISSED APPOINTMENT, LOST DATA, OR INJURY ARISING FROM A PHYSICAL MISSION — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO AM HEIST WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50.00).
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence where that limit is prohibited, or for fraud.
You may stop using AM Heist at any time by uninstalling it. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app, or any feature of it, at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Texas will have jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim, or requires a claim against you to be brought, somewhere else. Nothing here deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory law in their home jurisdiction, including consumer protections that may apply if you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Australia.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be shown by an updated "Last updated" date above and, where required, by notice in the app. Continuing to use AM Heist after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
